After the decision
Awarded or not
How you hear about the decision, what happens next, and what to take into the next tender.
- Duration: 10 min
- Read first: Put your offer together
Once the assessment is done, the buying organisation informs every bidder of the decision.
If you are awarded the contract
The contract phase follows. If the buying organisation manages contracts in e-Request, the signature request reaches you in the portal — the next step covers how that works. Otherwise the contract is handled outside the platform; either way, your contact is the buying organisation.
If you are not
Where a reason has been recorded, you see the reason from the latest round. There is no case file spanning several rounds, and you never see who decided internally — you see the organisation’s decision, not the person behind it.
Ask for feedback if you have not been given any. Whether it is provided, and in how much detail, depends on the procedure — but asking costs nothing, and the answer is the only solid information you will get about what went wrong.
What we cannot tell you about the decision
How it was assessed, who else bid and at what price: that is the buying organisation’s business and a matter for the procurement rules that apply to them. We do not see it and would not be allowed to pass it on.
For next time
Write down what cost you time this round: missing documents, unclear requirements, a question asked too late. In the next procedure that is exactly what makes the difference.
And maintain your company profile now, rather than under time pressure next time. The details stay on file — that is the real advantage you earned with this first tender.
