Bidding without an invitation

What you can do if you have not been invited yet — and what is realistic to expect.

  • Duration: 5 min
  • No prerequisites

The intended route is the invitation: the buying organisation invites, you fill in the details. There is no open self-registration, so you cannot create an account for yourself and apply to tenders that are already running.

The access request form

Many buying organisations publish a form that unknown suppliers can use to get in touch. It does not create an account. It sends a message to the procurement team, and they decide whether and when to invite you.

Whether the form exists at all is the buying organisation’s decision — it can be switched off. If you cannot find one, the direct route still works: call or write to whoever is responsible for the purchase.

What such a form does not do

  • It does not open a running tender. If you were not invited, you cannot bid.
  • It does not replace qualification. Whether your company fits a category is the buyer’s decision.
  • It does not entitle you to an invitation.

Staying realistic

Invitations are decided by the buying organisation, on their own criteria and under the procurement rules that apply to them. As the software vendor we have no influence on that and cannot add you to any list. What does help is early contact: get in touch before a tender is running, not while it is.
